The ACRPS has published Issue 2 (August 2018) of its peer-reviewed journal AlMuntaqa, dedicated to Humanities and Social Sciences, and published in English. The issue includes the following studies: “The Constant and the Variable in the Attitudes of Moroccan Islamists Regarding the Civil State” by Hicham Khabbash; “The Muslim Brotherhood: The Politics of the Generational Gap in the Post-Revolution Period” by Doha Samir; “Ta'ifah, Sect and Sectarianism: from the Word and its Changing Implications to the Analytical Sociological Term” by Azmi Bishara; and “The Nature of Early Islamic Sources and the Debate Over their Historical Significance” by Hayat Amamou.

AlMuntaqa 2 also contains an analysis of the Arab Opinion Index: “Religiosity and its Political Effects” by Dana Elkurd; and three book reviews and analyses by Dina Rizk Khoury titled “History and Society of Iraq between Hanna Batatu and Ali al-Wardi”; Walid Noueihed titled “Reading the Arab Revolutions: Authoritarianism and the Implications of Change”, and Azzam Amin’s review of Amro Othman and Marwa Fikry’s The Arab Intellectual and Tiananmen Square.
