​The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies have published Issue 13 (May/June 2023) of the peer-reviewed journal Almuntaqa, dedicated to humanities and social sciences and published in English. The issue includes the following studies: "The Lived Experiences of Married Palestinian Women from the Occupied Territories of 1967 Residing within the "Green Line"" by Suhad Daher-Nashif and Areen Hawari; "The 2019 Ḥirāk and the Arab Spring Uprisings: The Limits of the Algerian Exception Narrative?" by Mohammed Hemchi and Abdennour Benantar; "Regional Security Governance, Audience Expectations and Foreign Policy Roles: North Africa's Demand that Tunisia Maintains Its "Strategic Distance"" by Imad Mansour and John Daniels Hicks; "Subjects in Contested Space: The Securitization of the Kurdish Language in Syria" by Yunus Abakay; and "Pig Husbandry in Morocco in the Nineteenth Century: A Study in the History of Taboos" by Basraoui Yahya.

Almuntaqa 13 also features an analysis of Arab Opinion Index data, "Arab Public Perception of Iran's Regional Role and Policies", by Hamideh Dorzadeh. It concludes with two book review essays. The first reviews Populism and World Politics: Exploring Inter- and Transnational Dimensions (eds. Frank Stengel et al.) and Aymen Boughanmi's "The People Want": When Democracy is Eroded by Mohamed Chibani, and the other reviews The Political Science of the Middle East: Theory and Research Since the Arab Uprisings (eds.
