Al-Muntaqa: New Perspectives on Arab Studies is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) and the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. It provides English speakers with access to a selection of the best research in the social sciences and humanities coming out of the Arab academy. Most articles in this journal were originally published in Arabic in ACRPS journals. Articles are selected for publication in Al-Muntaqa based on the originality of the argument, the fieldwork, methodology, or sources, and the the overall contribution of the article within its field. Access to these studies opens an unprecedented window into the Arab research agenda and advances the goal of cross-regional knowledge accumulation.
