AlMuntaqa 5 also contains an analysis of the Arab Opinion Index: “Public Opinion and The Army: The Cases of Algeria and Sudan” by Dana Elkurd, and two book reviews of Omar Hesham AlShehabi’s Exporting Wealth and Entrenching Alienation: A History of Productive Imbalance in the Gulf States by Baqer Alnajjar; and Faleh Abdel Jabbar’s The Caliphate State: Advancing Towards the Past, ISIL and the Local Community in Iraq by Chamseddin Alkilani.
